The Huanglin Village is located at the foot of Jinji Mountain, the highest mountain in the southeastern Zhejiang Province, with an average elevation of 400 metres. It lies in the west of Huling Town, Rui’an City and is the largest and best-preserved ancient village in Rui’an City.

In the village, there are 68 residences with a history of over 100 years. Most of them are built with logs, yellow mud and stones. Therefore, the Huanglin village becomes a famous Stone Village. Surrounded by flourishing trees and tall bamboos, those ancient houses give people an impression of elegance, mystery and fantasy. The whole village looks like a beautiful Chinese landscape painting.

With its picturesque view, the Huanglin Village has attracted many travelers and photographers across China and the world, and it was honored as the Shangri-La in Rui’an. The local villagers have remained their traditional lifestyle and working ways. Visitors here can live in villagers’ homes and experience their traditional life.
