Han’s Folk Village in Qingdao, Shandong Province

Han’s Folk Village is located in the south of Qingdao High-Tech Industrial Development Zone and in the north of Jiaozhou Bay. It is built on the sites of an ancient fishery and an old salt field, covering an area of 32.95 acres.

With the themes of fishing, baysalt, farming and studying, Han’s Folk Village has finished some major projects since 2004 when it was established. In the village, there are a folk garden, a hotel in the theme of folk custom, a folklore museum and an ancient ship museum. In addition, performance of folklore rites and folkloric songs and dances are held at certain times. Visitors here not only can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the coast, but also can experience the rich folk cultures of the Jiaozhou area. The best period for visit is from April to October. Visitors can take bus at the Qingdao Railway Station or the Qingdao Liuting International Airport to get to the village.
